Colorado: Gathering Inspiration

Hello, hello

Figured it was time for a little travel update:

We’ve been in Denver for about three weeks now and are absolutely soaking in as much of the surroundings as we can. So far, we’ve been on several hikes in Golden, Boulder and the Rocky Mountains, each with their own unique spectacular views. I’m excited to be gathering inspiration and working on a series of landscape paintings based off of some of these photos!

The colors here are just amazing and SO different than those in Tennessee. The greens are muted, the mountains change colors at every time of day and little peaks of red rock come out of nowhere. I’ve played around with these colors and have come up with this color palette to work off of for this new collection of paintings.
