Meet Ella

Hey there! I am a self-taught artist living in Raleigh, NC with my husband, Billy, and our sweet dogs Rosie & Lillie. We love to travel, which is where a lot of my inspiration comes from. I am continuously adding to my “travel landscapes” and “on the road” series, based off photos I’ve taken traveling.

For me, painting is my personal form of meditation, and is one of the few things that allows me to slow down and live with intention. If I am not painting or being otherwise creative, I’ve been known to be a tad high strung. Out of this inherent need, my business was born and I’ve been painting almost every day for the past five years.

My inspiration comes heavily from my surroundings: travel, walks in the woods, looking up at the trees. I take a very geometric approach to my paintings, trying to simplify the subject with hard, straight brush strokes.

My favorite part of the process is exploring different color combinations. I have a wall in my studio filled with paint swatches that I like to mix and match, coming up with a unique color palette for each painting.
